Wellies, Rutland Water Garden Nursery

Millie with her Papa
As Millie's grandparents were visiting from the Isle of Man, we decided to go for brunch on Sunday morning. I'd heard about a lovely cafe at Rutland Water Garden Nursery so we decided to try it. I saw online that it opened at 10am so we aimed to get there for then and I'm glad we did as it seems to be a very popular cafe that filled up really quickly. You have to walk through part of the garden centre to get to Wellies but it was easily accessible and we had no trouble with the pram. As it had not long been open, there were a few tables we could chose from where we could keep the pram out of the way. There's also room between most of the tables in order to push your pram/stroller to where you need to go. Once we'd sat down, I had a look around and could see two highchairs (shame there weren't more) which were plastic with a 5-point harness and a tray - happy days!

We each ordered a full English breakfast which comes with a tea or filter coffee and is very reasonably priced. The food and drinks were delicious and I love the welly biscuits you get with the hot drink.

Unfortunately, there are no changing facilities here which is a huge disappointment as everything else is fantastic. The toilet is definitely big enough for a pull down changing table so maybe this is something they'll fit in the future.

We loved the food, drinks, excellent service and all the welly-themed features around the cafe. If there were changing facilities and one or two more highchairs, this cafe would have rated as 'very good'. I'll definitely be back to try some of the delicious looking cakes.
