The Lodge Country Park and Cafe, Market Overton

I’d heard that there was a park and a cafe at The Lodge Trust and was so excited to visit and see what it was like. It didn’t disappoint!

The cafe/park has free parking and easy access into cafe. There’s space to take the pram in with you and enough space between the tables too. The cafe has two wooden highchairs (a little low for the height of the table) but one did have a broken strap - luckily Millie hasn’t quite perfected her Houdini act yet!

The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced with a panini/sandwich around £5 and they have some larger main meals for around £7. The children’s menu offers things like beans on toast, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and larger meals like scampi, chips and peas and ham, egg and chips. All children’s meals are very reasonably priced between £2.50-£3.50.

The changing facilities are located in the accessible toilet which is large enough to take the pram in and they even had wipes available.

The cafe has a basket of books and a small rocking horse to entertain the children. There’s also the large park area outside which is fantastic! There’s outdoor seating so you can keep an eye on the children whilst they play - the seats were a little too far away for me to feel comfortable letting Millie play alone so we had our lunch first then we went to the park together.

I was really thrilled with this cafe and park and we’ll definitely come back.
