Welland Park Playground, Market Harborough

Millie and I visited the playground at Welland Park, Welland Park Road, Market Harborough (LE16 9DN) one lovely day in July (2018). The playground is in a beautiful setting with large grassy areas, beautiful gardens, tennis courts and is part of the Millennium Mile, a walk and cycleway along the River Welland. The car park is quite small but you can park there for 3 hours for free.

The playground is a large enclosed area with huge amounts of equipment for children of all ages. Millie enjoyed the toddler swings, spring rocker and sand area the best. I was gutted the water play wasn’t working as I know she’d have really enjoyed that.

After the playground we visited ‘The Cafe @ Welland Park’ for lunch. They are open Tues-Sun 9am-4pm (food served until 2:30pm). They have a changing table in the female toilets and have one highchair. We ended up using our Pop N Sit as the highchair was in use. The Pop N Sit is one of my all-time favourite purchases and can be found by clicking here. The prices at the cafe were very reasonable and they even had a children’s lunch bag deal with a sandwich, piece of fruit, fruit juice and biscuit for £3.60.

The map below shows the playground (in red), car park (in blue) and the direction to walk from the car park to the playground (in yellow).
